Mena Alexandera Suvari, born in 1979 is an American actress, model and designer. Born on 13 February 1979. When she was in 1990, shortly after beginning her career as a model, Suvari started acting in TV shows like Boy Meets World. In 1997 she made her acting debut as a film actress in Nowhere. After her performance in American Beauty (for which she was awarded a BAFTA Award) and American Pie which brought her greater attention, she began the transition to major parts. Her next role was Loser (2000) which was a co-production with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Later she played the lead role on the screen in Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun, an independent drama from 2002 and the thriller movie Trauma (2004) are the two films she has made her most recent appearances. The other films she appeared in include HBO's comedy Six Feet Under. The filmography she starred in was Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the version of The Garden of Eden and several other movies. Suvari models on behalf of Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she has also appeared on several blogs and fashion magazines, including Vogue. Suvari is a committed supporter and campaigner for the African Medical and Research Foundation. She is also involved in issues of female empowerment and has been involved in causes that are related to breast cancer, and the End Violence Against Women campaign.
